Case Builder is operated by Legal Services by Riverview Legal Group Professional Corporation, operating as Riverview Legal Group, Licensed Paralegals (Law Society of Ontario), which is responsible for the personal information described here.

What we collect

When you create an account: your name (if you give one), your e-mail address, how you signed in (Google, Facebook or a password), and the times you sign in. If you subscribe, Stripe handles payment and we keep only your subscription status and Stripe's customer reference. We never see your card details.

What you save

Saved searches and, in future, the documents you build are encrypted with a key of your own before they are stored. In the standard tier that key is held by Case Builder in wrapped form, so a copy of our database is useless without a separate secret; the private vault tier, when it arrives, keeps the key with you and means we cannot read your content at all.

Where and how long

Everything is stored in Canada. Your account stays until you delete it, or until 24 months without a sign-in, after a warning e-mail. Server logs are kept for 30 days and do not contain your search terms.

Why decisions naming people are shown

Board decisions are public records published by the Government of Ontario and reproduced here as published. Case Builder does not alter, correct or remove them. These pages are marked so that search engines do not index them.

Your choices

Delete your account at any time from the account page; it removes everything saved in it immediately.
